Worst Memory of Debden Sports : Losing a league title when we fielding an ineligible player. This was my first season of men’s football.

Gareth Lealand has been with the club since he was nine years old and is one of the most likeable people you will come across. Gareth commitment to club is shown in the fact that he is now the club secretary and that he is starting to take a more active role in the club find raising.

Gareth has been the 1st team goalkeeper for 3 years now but has basically stayed with George Sheptuha since he started with the club. He is always willing had he has improved with each year.

Gareth is full of confidence and this he shown by his record in penalty shootouts. Last year he actually saved more penalties then those that went in. The only disappointment for Gareth and the club was that he missed the county cup final last year after playing in every round up to the final.

Gareth will be captain today as we start the season and hopefully he will play a big part in the teams success in the season and seasons to come.
